Pupil Premium

                                                                                                                
Springfield Primary are expecting to receive £65,260 Pupil Premium funding for the financial year 2016/2017.  Pupil Premium funding is used to support Looked After Children and children entitled to free school meals, either at present or sometime during the past six years. 

Our Pupil Premium funding is placed in a separate account each year so that we can ensure that the monies are targeted at the designated children.  We continue to monitor and evaluate these children's progress throughout the year and continue or make changes to the support provided as appropriate.

Our Pupil Premium funding has enabled us to provide additional support in the following ways:
 
  • TA support for individual children or with small groups
  • 1:1 tuition
  • Year 6 Booster sessions for SATs
  • Breakfast and After School clubs funding
  • ICT support programme 
  • Resources e.g. books
  • School trips/residential trips
  • Peer Readers
  • Extra curriculur activities in and out of school
  • Small group tuition, teacher led
  • Booster sessions for more able children
  • Education Psychologists, Speciliast Teachers and Education Welfare Services
  • Uniform
  • Mentors
  • Counselling support
  • Activity clubs
  • Resources for Gifted and Talented
  • SpLat groups (Speaking, listening and thinking)
  • Catch up support for children with attendance issues
  • Pottery Club
  • Staff training
  • Transition packages for Y6 children
